Tokyo shares rise

Tokyo stocks rose 0.32 per cent on Thursday morning, tracking gains on Wall Street, with investors buying on dips following the previous day's sell-off. The benchmark Nikkei 225 index rose 48.13 points to 15,314.74 by the break. The Topix index of all first-section issues gained 0.33 per cent, or 4.14 points, to 1,264.97, according to AFP.
