Tokyo stocks up

Tokyo stocks rose 0.63 per cent on Monday morning on a weak yen, while data showed Japan’s trade deficit quadrupled year on year in March in 2014 to US $ 14 billion. The Nikkei 225 index added 91.71 points to 14,607.98 by the break, while the Topix index of all first-section shares gained 0.41 per cent, or 4.80 points, to 1,178.17, according to AFP.
