Toll-free mkts set up in Thakurgaon

THAKURGAON, Sept 16 (BSS): The district administration and the joint forces have jointly set up some toll-free markets in different places of the district to arrest hike in prices of essentials.
A survey conducted to find out reasons behind the price rise of essentials in different markets of the district revealed that the reason for price hike of the essentials was caused by sellers paying toll to the middlemen of the markets.
Besides, a committee was formed to monitor the prices of the essentials in the markets everyday.
The monitoring committee will place a regular report to the
joint forces and the district administration.
