Toluca advance to Champ League semifinals

TOLUCA, Mar 20 (AP): Toluca beat the San Jose Earthquakes on penalties to advance to the CONCACAF Champions League semifinals for the second time Wednesday.
With the scores level at 1-1 after extra time, San Jose's Shea Salinas missed a vital penalty to allow the Mexican side to advance with a 5-4 win in the shootout.
Ty Harden earlier put the U.S. side ahead in the 56th off a cross from Salinas, before Isaac Brizuela scored the equalizer in the 69th to force the match into extra time.
