Too many incidents of hijacking
Friday, 22 December 2017
HIJACKING has been increasing significantly over the past few years but we are yet to see any effective measures being taken by the authorities to stem the rot which is why such incidents of crime are on the rise across the country.
Some hijacking incidents are tragic. A hijacker snatched away the hand bag of a mother and while attempting to stop the hijacker from snatching her bag, the baby on the mother's lap fell down from the rickshaw and eventually died. Mother Aklima could not stop crying. Farhad Alam, a doctor at National Heart Institution died at the hand of a hijacker on his way back home at Mohammadpur.
We draw the attention of the Adviser to PM Sajeeb Wajed Joy to introduce a software or digital system that can be used by the law enforcing agencies to track and reduce hijacking incidents significantly at Dhaka and other parts of the country as well.
