Top banker among 3 killed in road crash

SYLHET, Oct 8 (UNB): A top Agrani Bank official, his daughter and driver were killed and three other members of his family injured in a road accident at Rashidpur in South Surma upazila on Wednesday morning.
The deceased were identified as Nurul Afsar( 48) deputy general manager of the state-owned bank, his daughter Fatema(18) and driver Polash(37).
The injured include Nurul's wife. Witnesses said the accident occurred when a Dhaka-bound 'Surma Paribahan' bus from Sylhet crashed into a microbus heading for Sylhet on the wrong side around 11am when its driver lost control over the steering after one of its tyres got deflated.
