Top ten colleges of Dhaka, Ctg boards

Notre Dame College stood first in terms of having the highest number of GPA-5 achievers in the HSC exams this year for the fourth consecutive year throughout the country.
In the college, a total of 1,189 examinees, out of 2,258, got GPA-5.
Dhaka City College was in the second place with 987 GPA-5 scorers out of 2,286 examinees while Viqarunnisa Noon College in third place with 663 examinees, out of 1,136, attaining GPA-5, Dhaka Commerce College in fourth place with 518 GPA-5 getters out of 1,924 examinees and New Govt Degree College, Rajshahi in the fifth place with 443 students, out of 1,374, getting GPA-5.
In Motijheel Ideal School and College, 420 students obtained GPA-5 out of 847 examinees standing the sixth position while in Bir Shreshtho Noor Mohammad Rifles Public School and College 331 students got GPA-5 out of 778 examinees being in the seventh position.
A total of 764 examinees sat for the exam in Holy Cross College and 331 of them achieved GPA-5 standing the eighth position, while Rajuk Uttara Model School and College bagged the ninth position with 294 examinees out of 873 getting GPA-5 and Dhaka College ranked the tenth position with 292 examinees out of 873 receiving GPA-5.
Meanwhile, BSS adds: All examinees from five colleges, out of 173 colleges, under Chittagong Education Board passed successfully in this year's Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination which was held in May-June.
This statistics shown in the result sheet on the HSC examination-2008 which has been made public today.
The institutions from which all examinees came out successfully are Fouzderhat Cadet College, Dighinala College, South Rangunia Padua College, KAFCO School and College and Chattagram Mohanagar College. The best top ten colleges separately considered on the basis of GPA-5 category and higher percentage in the results.
The colleges which secured top ten position on the basis of maximum number of GPA-5 this year in the HSC examinations under Chittagong Education Board are as follow - Chittagong College, 261 out of 759, Government Haji Mohammad Mohosin College, 252 out of 1295, Chittagong Govt. Commerce College, 176, out of 598, Ispahani Public School and College, 142 out of 231, Chittagong Government City College,79 out of 1663, Cantonment Public School and College,57 out of 447, Fauzdarhat Cadet College 42 out of 46, Chittagong Govt. Girls’ College 36, out of 774, Bandar Nou Bahini College,31 out of 373 and Cox's Bazar Government College 27 out 559. The institutions which secured maximum higher percentages in the HSC examinations this year under Chittagong Education Board are as follow - Diginala College 100 per cent, Fuzdarhat Cadet College 100 per cent, Chittagong Govt. Commerce College,99.83, Ispahani Public School and College 99.57 per cent, Cantonment Public School & College, 98.88 percent, Chittagong Engineering University School and College 98..63 per cent, Manikchhari College 98.33 per cent, Chittagong College Chittagong, 98.02 per cent, Chittagong Urea Fertilizer College, 96.88 per cent and BAF Shaheen College 96.64.
