Top terror surrenders in Cox’s Bazar

The ringleader of the ‘Rocky Bahini’, Mejbahuddin Rocky alias Minjanjul Abedin Rocky, 24, surrendered to a local court on Sunday fearing that he might be killed in cross-fire. Rocky who is accused in 20 cases surrendered to the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court. Officer-in-charge of Sadar Model Police Station Mahfuzur Rahman said the court sent Rocky to jail in a case filed under the Special Powers Act where he was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment for snatching Tk 0.95 million in the district town two months ago, according to a news agency.
