Toshiba appoints new distributor

Toshiba's Computer Systems Division (CSD), a division of Toshiba Singapore Pvt Ltd and a leading provider of mobile computing solutions, officially appointed another new distributor to sell its products in Bangladesh.
SMART Technologies (BD) Ltd was appointed by Toshiba, top company officials disclosed at a press conference at a city hotel Wednesday noon.
With this new appointment, Toshiba reinforces a network of resellers in Bangladesh with both International Office Machines Ltd (IOM) and SMART as Toshiba's key mobile computing partners in the country, where both will be authorized to sell the complete notebook product line and provide post sale services, Toshiba's regional manager for South Asia, Dickson Poon, said.
"We've decided to expand our network with the two distributors. SMART was selected due to their strong business acumen and distribution expertise in the local market," Wong Lih Jia, General Manager of Toshiba South and Southeast Regional Headquarters, said.
Later, the global renowned company also announced the expansion of its mini notebook range with the Toshiba NB200 to meet consumers' mobility needs and reflects their modern lifestyle.
Another Toshiba official said the NB200 would be available this year in fashionable colours-Satin Brown, Snow White, Indigo Blue and Silky Pink.
The interested people would have to pay amounts between Tk 44,000 to 95,000 to get those attractive and stylish laptops.
