Touchstone statue recovered in C\\\'nawabganj

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel recovered a touchstone-made statue of Lord Vishnu worth about Tk 9 million from Sonaichandi village in Nachole upazila of Chapainawabganj district on Sunday afternoon. Lieutenant Colonel Abu Jafar Sheikh Mohammad Bazlul Haque, commanding officer of Chapainawabganj BGB Battalion-9, said on secret information, a team of the border force led by deputy commander of the battalion Major Sheikh Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, conducted a drive in the area around 2:30pm and recovered the statue weighing 90 kilograms in an abandoned condition. None was arrested in this connection, according to UNB.
