Tough time to go: Tarique
Sunday, 24 April 2011
The tough time the country is now passing through will be over soon through a movement by the people, hopes BNP senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman, reports bdnews24.com.
"I feel motivated and encouraged thinking about your tough struggle....This tough time will be over through a vigorous movement of the people," Tarique said in a written message read out at the BNP's executive committee meeting Saturday.
Maruf Kamal Khan, press secretary to BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, read out the statement in the meeting held at the city's Kazi Bashir auditorium.
"We're passionately waiting for a bright day," Tarique said wishing the party executive meeting a great success.
He also condoled the death of BNP's UK unit chief Kamaruddin Ahmed. "He was my well-wisher in London. His sudden demise is very shocking to me."
Tarique, arrested in Mar 7, 2007 by the joint forces during the military-backed interim government, has been undergoing treatment in London since September that year, under bail.
