Tougher step to stop visa trading, warns minister

Minister for Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Nurul Islam BSc said strict measures would be taken to stop visa trading and nuisance of middlemen in the immigration process, reports UNB.
The Minister made the remarks while speaking at a views-exchange meeting with the officials of the Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET) in the city on Tuesday.
The minister also said steps will be taken to reduce the immigration cost.
Mr Islam said the government will take proper initiatives to send more trained workers abroad as per demands of various countries.
He asked the BMET officials to remain alert so that no one faces any harassment while going abroad with job, warning of a stern action if otherwise.
