Tourism complex at Parki beach to be completed by December

CHATTOGRAM, Aug 27 (UNB): Construction of a tourism complex at Parki beach in Anwara upazila of Chattogram would be completed by December, said Commerce Adviser Sk Bashir Uddin on Wednesday.
He was visiting the ongoing project titled "Introduction of Tourism Facilities at Parki (2nd Revised)" at the beach.
"Due to water-related issues and other obstacles the project's progress was slowed. The contracting firm and the project director have assured that all infrastructural work will be completed by December this year," said Bashir.
Tourism secretary Begum Nasreen Jahan said the tourism complex at Parki beach was a promising project.
It would require active participation of the local community along with vital support from the Tourist Police and other law enforcement agencies, she said.
