Tourism sector to be on the right track
Friday, 27 June 2008
This is a matter of great pleasure the present caretaker government has taken a move to set up a National Tourism Authority by July, 2008. We saw the previous government's failure to take necessary measures to develop the tourism sector as per its requirement. As a result, the country was not able to brighten its image before the foreign tourists. Our country has numerous eye-catching beauties and historical places but we could not attract the international community for lack of experience, sincerity and efficiency of our earlier policy-makers.
Considering the above, we strongly feel that in the greater interest of this prospective sector of the economy, we need some professional and well expreinced personnel to be included into the proposed body from different private organisations who have for long been involved in this sector.
Finally we hope our tourism sector will be on the right track to promote related businesses and attract foreign tourists with large foreign investments under the would-be independent body of National Tourism Authority.
