Tourists 286/8 on day two

The visiting Sri Lanka Under-19 team scored 286 runs for eight wickets in 96 overs at stumps on the second day of the first three-day match at Narayanganj Osmani Stadium in Fatullah Thursday, reports UNB.
Resuming the day with overnight score of 28 for no loss in five overs, the two night watch opening batsmen gave Sri Lanka a solid start contributing 129 runs in the opening stand.
Skipper Dinesh Chandimal hit 179 runs off 302 balls with 27 fours while Udara Jayasundara scored 55 off 114 balls, including eight fours.
The hosts bounced back in the match when the two set openers departed from the crease. The visitors lost couple of wickets in regular intervals in the face of tight bowling attacks by some BCB bowers.
Madushan Ekanayake and Sameera Weeerasinghe remained unbeaten with 15 and 1 runs respectively as the bails were drawn for the second day.
Noor Hossain grabbed four wickets for 70 runs while Tajuk Islam captured two for 71 runs.
Earlier, the BCB Under-19 team scored 316 runs for all in 82.1 overs in their first innings against visiting Sri Lanka Under-19 team.
