Trade deficit with Saarc countries stands at Tk377b

The trade deficit of Bangladesh with Saarc members countries stood at slightly over Tk377 billion (Tk37700.7 crore) till April of the current fiscal year (20014-2015), said Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed on Wednesday. Tofail said this while responding to a tabled starred question from Selim Uddin (Sylhet-5) in Parliament. During the 10 months of the current fiscal, he said, Bangladesh earned Tk33.649b (Tk3364.9cr) from export to India while spent Tk381.054b (Tk38,105.4cr) on importing goods, according to a news agency.
