Trade thru\\\' Benapole remains suspended for 2-day

Export and import activities between Bangladesh and India through Benapole land port will remain suspended for two days from May 12 (Monday) on the occasion of elections to different municipalities in West Bengal and Buddha Purnima. Kartik Chakrabarti, general secretary of Petrapole Port Customs Clearing and Forwarding Agents Staff Welfare Association, said trading through the port will remain halted for elections to different municipalities in India’s West Bengal state today and a public holiday in India on the occasion of Buddha Purnima on Tuesday. He said the export-import activities will resume on Wednesday. However, crossing of the passport-holding travellers of both countries will continue as usual during the trade suspension.
