Trader killed by stalkers in Jessore

A trader was stabbed to death by a group of stalkers at Dhopadi village at Abhaynagar upazila in Jessore on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Abdul Halim, a chicken trader who hailed from the Dhopadi village. Locals said a youth used to tease the daughter of Abdul Halim whereby he lodged a general diary with Abhaynagar Police Station on Sunday. Angered at the incident, the stalker along with his associates swooped on Halim at his shop on Tuesday morning and stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured. He was rushed to upazila health complex and then shifted to Khulna 200-bedded Hospital where he died at about 2:30 pm. Khabir Uddin, officer-in-charge of the police station, confirmed the incident, according to UNB.
