CHITTAGONG, Mar 20: Indiscriminate parking and general indiscipline in road transportation is causing serious traffic congestion in the port city and the situation is turning worse by the day.
During the last caretaker government, some drastic measures had been adopted in the transport sector in Chittagong which went quite some way to alleviate the sufferings of the residents specially commuters.
The lack of proper monitoring and supervision by the Traffic Department of CMP has also been blamed as being partly responsible for the anarchy on the streets.
Drivers of buses, mini buses and human-haulers reportedly run their vehicles whimsically defying the rules and regulations set earlier.
