Traffic jam ends on Dhaka-Tangail Highway

Despite movement of a large number of vehicles, the traffic situation remained normal in Chandra on Dhaka-Tangail Highway in Gazipur district on Tuesday morning after three days’ gridlock. Community police along with highway, traffic and district police continue to perform their role to keep traffic normal though there is a huge pressure of the western-region bound vehicles on the highway, mainly at Trimore Point in Chandra. A small tailback was created in Konabari area on the same highway. Earlier, there were long tailbacks on the Dhaka-Tangail Highway on the last three days, inflicting immeasurable sufferings on the home-bound people ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, according to a news agency.
