Traffic snarl-up is a common phenomenon in Dhaka, which intensifies during the holy month of Ramadan. In order to get some respite from everyday nuisance, many people opt for motorboats, locally known as 'water taxi', that operate between Rampura, Police Plaza, and FDC on Hatirjheel.
