Train catches fire, one injured

Our Correspondent JESSORE, Mar 31: A cook of an express passenger train was burnt and injured in a fire while the train was coming towards Jessore from Rajshahi at around 11:50 Thursday. Some portion of the compartment that is used as a restaurant was also damaged. The injured was identified as Bablu Rahman, one of the cooks of the train and a resident of Chatmahar in Pabna district. He was given primary treatment. Shamsul Islam, contractor guard of 762 down Sagardari Express Train told journalists that the train started for Khulna from Rajshahi at 6:50am and reached at Barobazar station at 11:42am on Thursday. Then the train resumed journey for Jessore and the dining carriage bearing number CDE caught fire at 11:50 while it was passing Haibatpur under Jessore Sadar Upazila.
