Train crash kills mentally retarded man at Lalmonirhat level crossing

LALMONIRHAT, Mar 29 (UNB): A man died after being hit by a train at the Sukan Dighi level crossing in Kaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat on Sunday morning.
The deceased was Ayub Ali, 60, son of Monir Uddin of the area.
Police and locals said the mentally unstable man lay down on the railway track near his home after waking up, when a train travelling from Burimari to Lalmonirhat struck him, leaving him dead on the spot.
Locals later brought the body home.
