Train rams four-wheeler in Natore, 3 killed

At least three people were killed when a train rammed a four-wheeler on Saturday at Natore Sadar Upazila. Six other people were injured. Police identified the dead as Sajeda Begum, 19, her mother-in-law Julekha Bewa, 48, and grandmother Sundari Bewa, 62. They hailed from the Sadar Upazila’s Paikordal village. Bagatibarhi police OC Aminur Rahman said the Rajshahi-bound ‘Barendra Express’ train hit the four-wheeler at the Yasinpur rail gate area around Saturday noon, killing the three peopel on the spot. The vehicle tried to cross the rail line as there was neither any guard nor any bar at the rail crossing, Rahman said. The six injured were admitted to the Sadar Hospital, according to bdnews24.com.
