Train rams into bus at Malibagh level crossing

A train rammed into a passenger bus at Malibagh level crossing Saturday evening, but a catastrophe was averted as all on board the bus hurriedly got down to safety. The train and the bus got interlocked on tracks, disrupting traffic for two hours through one of the busiest intersections in the capital, witnesses said. City-dwellers faced severe traffic disruption following the accident. Vehicular movement around Malibagh, Mouchak, Magbazar, Shantinagar and Kakrail came to a standstill during the period. — UNB
