Train rams pickup van in Jamalpur: 2 killed

At least two people were killed as a train rammed a pickup van in Sadar Upazila in Jamalpur district on Friday. Another person was injured in the accident. The dead are Dulal, 36, and Samej, 22, of Dhanbari upazila. Locals said the Chittagong-bound “Nasirabad Express” train from Jamalpur dashed the pick-up van at Sharifpur when the van was passing through Mukul Bazar Level Crossing around 6:30am, leaving three of its passengers injured. Dulal and Samej died on way to Jamalpur General Hospital while injured Palash, 27, is undergoing treatment at the hospital, according to a news agency.
