Training aircraft catches fire at Ctg airport

A training aircraft of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) caught fire while landing on a runway of Hazrat Shah Amanat (RA) International Airport at Potenga in Chittagong on Wednesday. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Immigration) at the airport Mizanur Rahman said the training aircraft caught fire while landing at the airport at about 1.30am. He said the lone pilot of the aircraft, Abib, was safe as he jumped out of it with a parachute when it caught fire. He was then taken to a Chittagong hospital. Later, Air Force staff rushed to the aircraft and put out the blaze, according to UNB.
