Training course on environmental reporting for journalists begins today

A 5-day training course on environmental reporting for Bangladesh journalists with the theme of "Environment-Reporting the issues currently threatening the globe" kicks off today (Sunday) in the city, reports UNB.
The course, organised by the Commonwealth Press Union (CPU) in partnership with CPU, Bangladesh Section, will be inaugurated by Chief Adviser's Special Assistant for Environment and Forest Ministry Raja Devashish Roy.
Amanullah Khan, President CPU, Bangladesh Section and Chairman, UNB will deliver the welcome address while members of CPU, Bangladesh Section, Mahbubul Alam, Editor, The Independent; Mahfuz Anam, Editor, The Daily Star; Zaglul Ahmed Chowdhury, Managing Director and Chief Editor, Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) and Enayetullah Khan, Editor-in-Chief and Chief Executive, United News of Bangladesh (UNB) will address the participants on various environment at issues.
John Vidal, Environment Editor, The Guardian, London will be the course facilitator.
