Training of SAWA fellowship in city

A five-day regional training of South Asian Water (SAWA) fellows began at Hotel Rings Inn in the capital on Thursday, reports UNB.
Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) Vice-chancellor Prof Khaleda Ekram inaugurated the training on 'Interdisciplinary Research: Concepts and Methodologies' under IDRC-SAWA Fellowship Project.
The goal of the four-year project, which started in December 2012, is to create a young generation of water professionals trained in multi-disciplinary approaches of water management with a focus on food security, water security and livelihood adaptations in the context of climate change.
Five institutes from four South Asian countries are implementing the project, said a BUET press release on Friday.
