Training on private sector infrastructure guidelines held in city

A two-day training on 'Bangladesh Private Sector Infrastructure Guidelines' was held at Bangladesh Bank (BB) Training Academy in the city on September 5-6.
The programme, organised by Board of Investment (BoI), was sponsored by BB IPFF Cell, and facilitated by Infrastructure Investment Facilitation Centre (IIFC).
The objective of the training was to provide a detailed understanding to the government and private sector officials, related to private sector infrastructure projects, on different issues of private sector infrastructure guidelines.
BOI Executive Chairman (EC) Mushtaq Uddin Ahmed and BB Executive Director Md Abul Quasem were present in the programme as the chief guest and the special guest respectively. BOI Director Mamdood Hossain Alamgir gave the welcome speech in the inaugural session.
The BOI EC said, as these guidelines help to establish the processes and procedures to release infrastructure projects to private sector, the training will definitely have a great impact in achieving the objectives of the guidelines.
IIFC Executive Director and CEO Nazrul Islam, BOI Deputy Director Enayetur Rahman, Project Director of New Mooring Container Terminal at CPA MA Sabur, Bangladesh Stholo Bondor Kortripakkho Superintending Engineer Tajul Islam, IIFC Commercial Adviser Muhammad Shamsur Rahman, BB Joint Director Chowdhury Md Feroz Bin Alam, and IIFC Contract Analyst Rafet Hossain delivered lectures in the training sessions.
Privatisation Commission Member Mian Mushtaque Ahmed was present as the chief guest in the concluding session of the programme, and distributed certificates among the participants.
