Training on remittance management held

Refugee and Migratory Movements Research Unit (RMMRU) of Dhaka University (DU) arranged a daylong training of trainers titled 'better management of migrant's remittances : 1st TOT for capacity building of bank officials' Saturday with the support of Manusher Jonno Foundation.
DU Department of Political Science Professor Tasneem Siddiqui presented the keynote paper on the overall migration scenario in Bangladesh, and the contribution of remittance to the country's economy. The participants of the workshop were comprised of local level bank officials from Dhaka, Tangail, Comilla and Chittagong.
A number of researches, conducted by RMMRU, were presented in the workshop.
Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited Deputy Executive President and Head of International Banking Wing Md Abdul Mannan, BRAC Bank Ltd Relationship Manager of Secured Remittance Service Shahrear Md Zamil Agrani Bank AGM Md Nazrul Islam and Bangladesh Krishi Bank AGM AKM Mosharraf Hossain conducted the training sessions as resource persons.
