Training programme on IT stressed to create skilled manpower

MYMENSINGH, July 14 (BSS): Speakers at a function today stressed the need for providing training on Information Technology (IT) to create skilled manpower in the country.
They were speaking at the inaugural session of a five-day IT training in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner here.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mostakim Billah inaugurated the programme as the chief guest while Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Education and ICT Sharmin Jahan presided over it.
The speakers said the present government has already gained popularity in the ICT sector by creating job opportunities and outsourcing for the unemployed youths. They said adoption of latest technology have become indispensable for making the country economically and technologically sound.
Teachers, students, members of the IT clubs and educated unemployed youths of the society are being trained to make them compatible to face the future challenges, they added.
The DC in his speech said IT training programmes would contribute significantly in the economy of the country as huge amount of foreign currency can be earned through the use of IT in various income generating sectors.
He urged the participants to take the training attentively and take up the opportunities given by the government for leading a better life.
