Training workshop on agro-resources begins in Rangpur

RANGPUR, June 14 (BSS): A three-day training workshop for unemployed youths on 'Development of Agriculture, Pisciculture and Animal Husbandry Resources' began on Pirgachha Model Primary School premises of the district Wednesday.
Pirgachha upazila administration organised the workshop with the assistance of Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) and Livestock and Fisheries Department aiming to develop the socio- economic status of the unemployed youths through making them engaged in pisciculture and animal husbandry.
Pirgachha Sadar Union Parishad Chairman Afsar Ali chaired the inaugural session of the workshop while local Upazila Nirbahi Officer Gautam Kumar was present as the chief guest.
Upazila Livestock Officer Nazrul Islam Khan, Upazila Agriculture Officer Anwarul Islam and Upazila Fisheries Officer Shahnur Islam are conducting the workshop as resource persons.
