Training workshop on violence on women survey begins

KHULNA, June 10 (BSS): The inauguration of a five-day training workshop for information collectors and supervisors on 'Violence Survey to women-2015' began here Wednesday at the conference room of Khulna Circuit house.
Khulna deputy commissioner Mostofa Kamal inaugurated the workshop while deputy director of Khulna Divisional Statistics Office Md. Saddam Hossain Khan chaired the function.
Organised by Khulna Divisional Statistics Office, deputy secretary of Mongla Port Authority (MPA) Md. Mir Hossain, Additional deputy commissioner Depankor Biswas and Additional Police Super Joydev Chowdhury attended the function as special guests.
Chief guest Mostofa Kamal said the mindset of the people should be changed for women development and in this regard awareness campaign would play important role.
He also urged the surveyers who are getting training, to collect information on women oppression with responsibility and sincerity.
A total of 74 trainees including information collectors and supervisors are attending the workshop.
The survey will begin on June 22 and continue up to july 6 in Khulna division.
