FE REPORT | Wednesday, 16 September 2020

Bangladesh Railway (BR) will start operating all its passenger train services at full capacity from today (Wednesday).
Senior Public Relation Officer of railway ministry Shariful Alam said the decision was taken in a meeting on Tuesday to normalise passenger train services maintaining heath guidelines.
Railway Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujan was present at the meeting.
BR East and Western Zone offices have already issued notices to issue cent percent tickets for all trains.
As part of the decision, the BR will sell 50 per cent tickets through online and 50 per cent from counters.
BR had been operating all its passenger train services with 50 per cent of the capacity once the government relaxed movement of public transports on May 31 following health rules.
Initially it resumed intercity trains. Later, it resumed express, mail, local and commuter trains.
