Transformer glitch disrupts power supply from Ashuganj

Two power generation units at the Ashuganj Power Station were forced to shut down following a technical fault at the 132/33 kV transformer in an adjacent substation early on Wednesday, disrupting power supply in some areas for several hours. According to sources, the power transmission from two generation units came to a halt at about 2:30 am following the glitch, disrupting supply from the power station. — UNB
