Transport leader killed

Miscreants have chopped to death a transport owners’ organisation leader at Mohotapur under Charmotua union at Noakhali on Sunday. The dead is Yusuf Ali Selim, alias Nishat Seldom, 49, the President of Noakhali Bus Owners’ Association. Police and locals said he was murdered at Mohotapur village when he was coming back to his native home at Noakhali town. Locals took him to Noakhali Medical College Hospital where the duty doctor declared him dead. Police could not immediately identify the killers, according to a news agency.
