Sylhet Division unit of Bangladesh Road Transport Workers’ Federation on Monday called a dawn-to-dusk transport strike in four districts of the division on July 8 (Tuesday) to press home their three-point demand. President of the federation’s Sylhet Division chapter freedom fighter Selim Ahmed Falik announced the strike from a meeting at Babna Point office in Dakkhin Surma. The federation also threatened to enforce an indefinite transport strike if their demands are not met immediately. The speakers urged all to work unitedly to make their programme a success, according to a news agency.
