Transport trader shot dead at Narsingdi

Some miscreants shot to death a transport trader for toll at Narsingdi’s Polash Upazila on Friday. The dead is Milon Miah, 40, of Phuldirtek area of the Upazila. Victim’s relatives said a gang of identified miscreants stormed into Milon’s house in Ghorashal and opened fire on him, leaving him critically injured. Milon died on the way to Narsingdi General Hospital. Family members said some miscreants of Ghorashal area had been illegally demanded a large amount of money as toll from Milon a few days back when he was constructing his house there. But Milon refused to pay the toll. They said Milon might have been killed by them. Officer-in-charge of Polash Police Station Shahadat Hossain said they detained three people for interrogation, according to a news agency.
