Transport workers halt traffic in Dinajpur

Monday, 29 September 2014

Transport workers in Dinajpur on Monday halted the movement of passenger-carrying vehicles on all routes in the district bringing an allegation of vote-rigging in the election to the local Motor Transport Workers’ Union held on Saturday. They also threatened to halt vehicular movement in the district for an indefinite period unless a decision is taken to hold re-election to the union. The transport workers began their agitation around 1pm on Monday, according to a news agency.
