Travel ban issued against Taqsem

A Dhaka court on Thursday issued a 60-day travel ban on Taqsem A Khan, immediate-past managing director of the Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (Dhaka Wasa), in connection with corruption allegations brought against him.
Judge of the Metropolitan Senior Special Judge's Court Mohammed Ash-Shams Joglul Hossain passed the order after hearing a petition filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
Earlier, ACC Deputy Director Syed Nazrul Islam, who is also leading the investigation into the graft allegation against Taqsem, submitted the petition with the court and sought a travel ban.
