Trawlers loaded with timber, current net seized

BAGERHAT, Aug 30 (UNB): Three trawlers loaded with timber and current net were seized in the Pashur River under Mongla Upazila early Wednesday.
Navy sources said they challenged the three trawlers and recovered 10,000 metres of current net and various types of timber worth Tk 0.7 million.
The members of Navy seized the trawlers but smugglers managed to flee. Later, the current nets were burnt in the presence of local people.
