Treatment of letters
Tuesday, 12 January 2010
It is my hobby to write something for newspapers. Regrettably, those who write for the letters column do not get any remuneration for their write-ups. It is also a matter of regret that some newspapers are indifferent to religion-based write-ups. Even if they occasionally publish religion based write-ups, they omit the most important parts.
Then, when a writer quotes another newspaper in his or her writing, the name of the newspaper is replaced by 'an English or Bangla daily'. Why it is so? It would be good to know why this happens.
