Tree fair begins in Jessore

A 10-day-long tree fair has been inaugurated at the Town Hall Maidan premises in Jessore town. District Administration, Forest Department and Department of Agriculture Extention (DAE) have jointly organised the fair. Additional Deputy Commissioner (general) Zahid Hossen Panir presided over the inaugural session of the fair. Deputy Director of Jessore DAE Nittaranjan Biswas, Jessore Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Kamrul Arif, divisional forest officer Jahurul Alom, educationist Mashiul Azam, among others, took part in a discussion after the inaugural session. A total of 30 stalls have been set up on the tree fair premises. The exhibition will run through the first week of September, according to a news agency.
