Wednesday, 13 January 2010

As expected the two top teams of the Tri-Nation Idea Cup favourites India lock horns against spirited Sri Lanka in the day-night final at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur in the city Wednesday, reports BSS.
Both teams had a strenuous practice at the match venue Tuesday with Sri Lanka having their nets in morning while India who had a game against Bangladesh last evening came to practice in the afternoon.
Both teams qualified for the finals in a similar manner both winning three of their four encounters. The other participant hosts Bangladesh made to bid adieu losing all their four matches.
Indian batsmen are slowly picking up while their bowlers have finally found their rhythm while Sri Lankans will bank on their explosive batting which on their day would be a difficult customer for the Indian bowlers. However Sri Lankans are yet to reach their top form.
One thing is evident that the team who win the cherished toss will definitely ask their opponent to bat first as team bowling under flood light with dew factor have not won so far in the meet.
