Trial of a graft case against Ctg mayor begins

CHITTAGONG, Nov 11 (UNB): Trial of a corruption case against Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) Mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury began in the Divisional Special Judge's court here Tuesday.
Mayor Mohiuddin, now out of jail on High Court (HC) bail in all the graft cases against him, was not in the dock to stand trial. Two other accused in the case were present.
The defunct Anti-corruption Bureau filed the case against the Mayor of the port city and two CCC contractors in 2002 for embezzling Tk 1.12 million (11.25 lakh) in hiring dump trucks.
