Trial of war criminals to begin before March 26

COX'S BAZAR, Dec 20 (BSS): Joint General Secretary of Awami League (AL) Mahbubul Alam Hanif said trial of the war criminals would begin before March 26.
He said that the Bangalee nation was celebrating the Victory Day in a free environment after the court's verdict on Bangabandhu murder case.
Hanif was addressing Saturday the closing ceremony of victory fair organised by local unit of AL on the premises of the deputy commissioner office, reports BSS.
Information and research secretary of AL Advocate Afzal Hossain was present as special guest on the occasion.
Cox's Bazar district AL general secretary Salahuddin Ahmed chaired the meeting.
Hanif said the razakars would find no room in the country if all pro-liberation political parties remain united.
He said that people had confidence on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and everyone was engaged in building digital Bangladesh.
Sonar Bangla, he said, would be established through completing the incomplete tasks of Bangabandhu and trial of all political killings would be carried out in phases.
AL leaders AK Ahmed Hossain, Hasan Arif and Idris Ahmed were, among others, also present on the occasion.
