Triangular collision kills 7 in Habiganj

HABIGANJ: Seven people, including two siblings, were killed and three others injured in a triangular collision involving a bus, a microbus and a motorcycle at Tugli on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Bahubal upazila Friday, according to a news agency.
Two of the deceased were identified as Rokan and his brother Khokan, sons of Lokoj Miah of Judgepaul village in the upazila.
Police and witnesses said the microbus collided head-on with the Dhaka-bound bus on the highway around 4:30pm after its driver lost control over the steering.
As the two vehicles came to a standstill after the collision, the motorbike crashed into those from a connecting road.
The accident left four people, including motorcyclist Rokan, dead on the spot and several others injured.
The injured were rushed to Bahubal Upazila Health Complex where two of them succumbed to their injuries.
Khokan died on the way to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.
