Tribunal reading Khokon Razakar verdict

The International Crimes Tribunal-1 has started reading its verdict on Zahid Hossain, better known as Khokon Razakar, in war crimes cases. He is accused of war crimes at Faridpur’s Nagarkanda during 1971. ICT-1 headed by Justice M Enayetur Rahim began delivering the verdict at 11am on Thursday against the absconder accused of 11 charges including murder, rape, loot and forcibly converting Hindus. Hossain who later joined the BNP, had campaigned for the Jamaat-e-Islami in the election in 1970. The 66-year old was elected the municipality mayor of Nagarkanda in 2011, according to a news agency.
