Tributes rain down on Prof Zillur Rahman Siddiqui

Politician, academics and leaders of social and cultural groups have paid their last respects to Prof Zillur Rahman Siddiqui, reports bdnews24.com.
His body was brought to the Central Shaheed Minar around 11am after colleagues and students at his old workplace, Jahangirnagar University, paid tribute to the renowned educationist on Thursday.
Politicians from various parties, representatives of social and cultural groups gathered there along with university professors and people from all walks of life.
Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor placed flowers on his coffin on behalf of the ruling Awami League.
BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi also led party leaders to pay tribute to the former caretaker  government adviser.
